We dropped Erin off at the church yesterday morning at 6:00 am.  The group was uncharacteristically on-time yesterday and so by 6:30, they were ready to load up on the bus.  The bus was taking them down to Houston to do some work with a mission down there.  I think the church pretty much just wants them to realize that not everybody has everything like we do and that perhaps making sandwiches for homeless people and doing light construction will drive that point home.

But we had assumed that they would mess around until 7:30 or so (like they usually do) and that by that time, the kitchen would be open, we’d have breakfast, go to the early service and then get home early.  But with the bus gone so early, we just went home rather than sit around in the cold rain until the rest of the church decided to open up.  We were therefore home and fully dressed at roughly 7:00 am.  I got on the computer and listed three more items of ham radio gear on Ebay along with some old DVDs.  Then it was 7:30.  So we sat down on the sofa and watched movies.

All. Day. Long.

We even got up and went to the local theater with Mel’s sister and her husband, then came home and watched another movie on our TV.

If that isn’t laziness then I don’t know what is.  And we loved every minute of it.  It was cold and rainy outside so why not?  Just us, the dog curled up at our feet, and no kids around to try and get us to watch SpongeBob SquarePants.  Heaven!
